Energy saving initiatives
Unisys continually evaluates opportunities within its control to reduce the overall impact of its products and facilities on human health and the environment. Control aspects include part supplier selection, product design, product energy efficiency, facility energy efficiency, and end-of-life product recoverability and recycling. These opportunities include the design of yet more energy efficient equipment, recycling of components to lessen the demand on natural resources, design of energy efficient data centers and facilities (such as its data center in Eagan, Minn.) as well as other energy-saving initiatives.
European Union Battery Directive
All electrical and electronic equipment put on the market by Unisys Corp is compliant with the Revised EU Battery Directive (2006/66/EC), Amendment (2013/56/EU), as well as related Member State legislation.

Corporate Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive Statement
All electrical and electronic equipment put on the market by Unisys Corp is compliant with the European Union Directive on the RoHS2 and related Member State legislation implementing that Directive.
The RoHS2 Recast Directive (2011/65/EU) restricts the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment including: lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr+6), flame retardants that exist in the family of poly brominated biphenyls (PBBs), poly brominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), as well as the four phthalate esters - Bis(2-ethylhexyl) (DEHP), Benzylbutyl (BBP), Dibutyl (DBP), and Diisobutyl (DIBP) phthalate.
Unisys works closely with its Supply Base to ensure that electrical and electronic equipment designed and marketed for the European Union marketplace is assembled using components that meet the requirements of the RoHS Recast Directive. All RoHS-compliant equipment is likewise marked with the CE mark and a RoHS label to clearly identify compliancy to this Directive.
In our commitment to a cleaner environment, we're involved in a variety of product-focused initiatives that help us, our customers and the planet.
European Union Regulation of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
As a supplier of electronic products to the European Union (EU) market, Unisys Corporation (Unisys) supports the objectives of REACH as part of its longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship.
Unisys has in place a comprehensive supplier review process that complies with the REACH regulation. Unisys monitors changes in REACH and is committed to regularly update its conformance processes when any applicable changes occur or relevant, new substances are added to the REACH Regulation.
Product Registration/Notification
Unisys has determined that its products, as articles, that are placed on the market in the EU do not contain REACH Regulation substances in quantities totaling greater than one (1) metric ton per year and do not release such substances under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. As a consequence, Unisys articles are not required to be registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
As required by Article 33 of the REACH Regulation, Unisys will communicate information on substances in articles when Unisys products (articles) placed upon the EU market contain any REACH-listed Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) in concentrations greater than 0.1% by weight.
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) periodically publishes SVHC candidate list on their website at: https://echa.europa.eu/web/guest/candidate-list-table
In response to that requirement Unisys declares that, to the best of its knowledge, the following may be present in excess of 0.1%, in some Unisys products.
